ERCD is a 0.80mm spacing high-speed cable assembly used for wire to board applications. Compatible with ERF8 and ERM8 connectors, ERCD provides 14 Gbps performance using Samtec's Eye Speed cable. Samtec's unique manufacturing technology allows customers to specify custom cable lengths for fast delivery.

 

The LTE IoT branch carrier board is an expansion board that can achieve system level prototyping through the 2nd generation AT&T LTE IoT starter kit (US) or the global LTE IoT starter kit. These LTE 4 IoT starter kits are equipped with a multifunctional Avnet SOM that supports cellular connectivity, GPS location tracking, built-in sensors, dual expansion interfaces, user application hosting, and Starter SIM for data and SMS services

Starter SIM uses its Samtec ERM8 series 60 terminal connector to convert a subset of the peripheral interface of a WNC LTE module (signal level of 1.8V) to 3.3V and fix it to two Click module sockets, which can purchase over 300 different MikroElekronika Click peripheral modules.

Onboard 3.3V and 1.8V regulators ensure power quality for all use cases.

The external control of LTE system board power failure and sleep mode is achieved through a 2x6 terminal connector (unused), which also provides access to the module's digital audio interface (currently not supported by digital audio)
